We have only just commemorated the Nakba, which is one of the most important dates in our History as Palestinians, remembering the catastrophe of being uprooted 67 years ago. This is a symbolic day to all Palestinians.

Saying this, we don't dwell on things for too long as in the same week that we have this historical pain, Palestine has just been recognised by the Vatican.

Not only that, but Pope Francis has also just declared 2 Palestinian nuns as Saints. Mariam Bawardi and Mary Al fancine denile Ghattas. They lived in the 19th Century Arab Palestine. They are also the only known modern day Palestinians who are saints. This is an incredible recognition for Palestine and a really proud moment. This will have a positive effect on all the Palestinians, whether Jewish, Muslim or Christian, as the recognition of the country is the main subject. What a great reason to be in the spotlight.

Many people don't know that 85% of Palestine was Christian , now its only 2%. The answer to this decline is the occupation. But that is another story.
