Heidi Levine

An American journalist, Heidi Levine, based in Jerusalem has been awarded for her work In Gaza, and has been chosen by the International Women's Media Foundation to receive an award for her work in this part of the world.

As she lives in the region her work seems more legitimate as she is bound to suffer the anguish felt by the people of Gaza and through her lens you can see the beautiful and painful images of the catastrophe of what happened on the ground there in Gaza. 

This personal lever comes out in her photos and the dangers she faces are real. When she goes home it does not stop. She is a part  of this life and will continue to broadcast it through images caught on her camera. I have attached a link if you wish to see her work. Some images are disturbing.
